YouTube Originals came to us with a challenge that many platforms faced in 2020 – how do you demystify the process of voting for millennial and gen z audiences in a way that’s accessible and non-partisan?
We developed and produced 21 videos that provided young voters with all the information they needed to cast their ballot. Each pathway in the interactive series was inspired by a popular YouTube format – cooking, trickshots, animation, and dance.
In the first two weeks following its launch, over 500,000 viewers charted their path through the interactive experience and the series emerged one of the pillars of YouTube’s voter outreach in a key election year.
